U.S. lawmakers are gearing up for a potentially major clash next week over judicial nominations and the filibuster in what's being called by some a political power grab by the ruling party. President Bush's Ecuadorian counterpart was violently ousted this week by an angry populace after packing his country's Supreme Court with his own political allies.

Unreasonable treatment of your neighbours can land you with an anti-social behaviour order (ASBO). Why not apply the same principle between countries? Campaigners say that the UK is guilty on many counts in its relationship with developing countries and that each of the main parties deserves an ASBO.

With the Indian parliament to discuss a number of bills relating to seeds, food processing and patents, Prof. J. George argues that the people's representatives must give a thought to people's concerns and should not compromise on the rights of farmers and other marginalised sections.

Sempre a Strasburgo numerosi parlamentari UE.
