24/06/2004 Il vertice dell'UNCTAD XI si � concluso con un testo adottato dopo diverse controversie tra Paesi in via di sviluppo e Paesi occidentali. Il "San Paulo Consensus" contiene suggerimenti rispetto a quattro temi: strategie di sviluppo in un mondo globalizzato; costruzione di capacit� produttive e competitivit� internazionale; assicurare vantaggi di sviluppo dal sistema commerciale internazionale e la partnership per lo sviluppo. Tra gli argomenti pi� dibattuti lo spazio politico dei PVS, la governance, la responsabilit� sociale di impresa, i meccanismi finanziari innovativi, le azioni commerciali unilaterali e coercitive ed il ruolo dell'UNCTAD nel processo di riforma dell'Onu. Soddisfazione tra i Paesi in via di sviluppo.

Quebec Minister's Water Export Idea 'Foolhardy'

22/06/2004 The Council of Canadians is condemning Quebec Environment Minister Thomas Mulcair's proposal to explore bulk exports of water from the province.
