With judgement still awaited on a landmark judicial review of the decision to halt an inquiry into a Saudi arms deal corruption investigation, the UK Government has introduced draft legislation that would in effect prevent such a review in future.

A court case contesting the legality of the UK Serious Fraud Office's decision to scrap its investigation into alleged bribery by BAE Systems to secure a huge arms deal with Saudi Arabia will be heard in London on Thursday.

On 9 November a judge will decide whether to allow a legal challenge to the government's abandonment of a Serious Fraud Squad investigation into alleged corruption in the massive BAE Systems-Saudi Arabia arms deal.
Comedian Mark Thomas has organised a comedy night on 23 September to raise money for the challenge.
